Lyrical dance classes combine the elements of ballet and jazz.  Lyrical dance encourages the dancer to communicate emotion through movement and the song’s lyrics.  Lyrical dance is very passionate and can tell a story through movement.  The term Lyrical dance comes from the word “Lyrical,” which means having a poetic, expressive quality and expressing spontaneous feelings and deep personal emotions.  When learning Lyrical, it is important and helpful to have a solid background in ballet, jazz, and modern dance.
