  • Courtney Jackson

Courtney JacksonBorn and raised in Hope Mills, North Carolina, Courtney Jackson started dancing at Cumberland Dance Academy when she was just 11 years old. Each year, her love for the art of dance grew wile training in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. Courtney began to evolve in the dance world by performing in The Dance Theatre of Fayetteville’s “The Nutcracker”, with a part in doll duet and a solo at the dew drop fairy. She has also danced competitively with groups and solos, receiving many top awards at dance competitions all across North and South Carolina. Courtney has attended many dance conventions, with well known choreographers, where she has been awarded different dance scholarships for her talent. She plans to continue attending dance conventions even as an instructor to keep up with the always changing dance scene.

Courtney began assistant teaching at Cumberland Dance Academy in her young teenage years and began choreographing and teaching at the young age of 17. It was then, she knew that teaching and sharing her love for dance was something she would always do. Courtney is very passionate in her work and as an instructor; her main goal is not only to teach the art of dance, but to give each student the confidence to believe in themselves.
